Asias Biggest Pagoda In Mumbai

Today’s the day (8 February 2009) when India’s president Pratibha Patil inaugurated Asia’s biggest Pagoda. The Relics of Gautam Buddha are enshrined here. The special feature of this wonder is, it has no pillar used in its construction. It is 280 feet in diameter and 325 meter in height. It took eleven long years and around 750 million rupees to complete the structure. Around 8000 odd people can be accommodated at a time for meditation.

How to reach there

It is located in Gorai Island, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Asia
One can easily fly to Mumbai as it is well connected to the world
After coming to Mumbai one can hire a cab from the airport for Gorai, from there one has to take a ferry boat to reach the destination.
